Annual Meeting

Our annual meeting is held for our members to be able to come together to discuss the past year's activities, review the Chamber's financial status, elect new leadership for the board, and network with other members in the community.

Farber & Otteman Funeral Home - 2024 Business of the Year

On February 8, we had the honor of recognizing a business that serves our community in one of the most compassionate and selfless ways possible. Farber & Otteman is more than just a funeral home—it is a place of comfort, care, and unwavering support during some of life’s most difficult moments. In a small town like ours, the work they do is even more personal. They don’t just serve families; they serve friends, neighbors, loved ones, or sometimes even families of classmates or coworkers — the emotional weight of this responsibility is immense, yet they continue to provide exceptional service with grace, kindness, and professionalism. Whether it’s guiding families through difficult decisions, ensuring that every detail is handled with dignity, or simply offering a compassionate presence, they embody what it means to truly care.Tim and Erin, your team’s dedication does not go unnoticed, and our community is forever grateful for the work that you do. Thank you for all that you do for our little town.

Mark MacWhorter - 2024 Sac City Superstar

In every small town, there’s a hero—not the kind with a cape, but the kind with a giving heart. For our community, that happens to be Mark MacWhorter. Whether he’s twisting balloon animals for hours at Porktoberfest (without complaint), playing Santa Claus and dumping “snowballs” from the bucket of the firetruck or listening to Christmas wishes at the Church’s annual free “Kids Shopping Event,” he is always there with a smile and a helping hand. He’s happy to make toast at 7am for a couple hundred people or even collect quarters at Bingo. He’ll climb on a roof to help you prep for a mural or travel hundreds of miles to visit a beloved church member (and one of our favorite Chamber members) in the hospital. He helps Kid’s World with events, decorating parade floats and lemonade stands—all out of the kindness of his heart. Doesn’t miss a meeting, rarely misses Chase the Ace. A dedicated Chamber Board member and an irreplaceable part of our community, Mark reminds us all what it truly means to serve.Thank you for being our Sac City Superstar!

Briana Snider - 2024 Volunteer of the Year

On February 8, the Chamber recognized someone whose dedication and commitment to our community have been truly inspiring. When I first asked Briana if she would be interested in serving on the Chamber board, she was the quiet, shy girl who hesitantly said yes—wanting to be more involved but unsure of what to expect and not really knowing what to do. Looking back now, it’s hard to imagine our Chamber without her. Briana has become the heart of our volunteer efforts, showing up at every event with a willingness to help in any way she can. Whether it’s picking up raffle tickets each week, chasing rubber ducks down the river, throwing Tootsie Rolls in every parade, stuffing envelopes, attending Chamber Coffees, wearing a pig costume and handing out hugs to every little kid in town, or ensuring no meeting goes unattended, her dedication is second to none. Fortunately for us…but maybe not so fortunate for Bri, her commitment has not only earned her the respect of her peers but also the titles of President of the Chamber Board and President of Sac City Ambassadors—roles she has reluctantly embraced with enthusiasm. Briana, your hard work and selflessness have made a lasting impact on our community. I hope you know how much I and the rest of the board appreciate you.
